Wade’s Dairy is a fifth-generation, family-owned foodservice distributor based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Since 1893, we’ve been delivering high-quality dairy, frozen, and shelf-stable foods to schools, restaurants, convenience stores, healthcare institutions, and specialty retailers across Southern New England — including Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and parts of New York.

A Family Business, Five Generations Strong

The story of Wade’s Dairy began in 1884, when our great-grandfather Frank Henry Wade began peddling milk by horse and wagon in Easton, CT. By 1893, he had established his own herd and started a small dairy business with daily milk deliveries — launching what would become one of Connecticut’s most enduring family enterprises.

Over the next century, Wade’s evolved from bottled milk home delivery to modern foodservice distribution, with each generation building on the values of hard work, adaptability, and community care.

Our roots include:

  • Hand-labeled glass bottles and horse-drawn milk routes
  • On-site truck mechanics keeping deliveries running in snowstorms
  • Pioneering cold chain refrigeration and expanding our product range
  • Supplying thousands of school cafeterias and independent food businesses
  • Entering the digital era while holding tight to our motto:  “Let our family serve yours.”

Today, under the leadership of Lindsay Warner (President) and Dave Gambino (Vice President), Wade’s continues to thrive by investing in technology, growing our dry goods portfolio, and expanding our reach throughout the region — while staying grounded in the values that started it all.
