We started with a milk wagon and a promise of quality. Today, Wade’s Dairy operates a modern, 34,000 sq. ft. facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut, that distributes refrigerated, frozen, and dry products. Over the years, we’ve expanded far beyond our dairy roots. Our catalog features everything from farm-fresh milk, cream, and cultured cheeses to handmade pasta, hearty frozen entrées, and indulgent desserts. We also deliver an array of energy drinks, bottled juices, and spring water to keep your coolers stocked and your customers satisfied. Wade’s Dairy began in 1893 when Frank H. Wade, just sixteen years old, started delivering milk by wagon in Easton, Connecticut. His commitment to quality and service laid the foundation for what would become a trusted, family-run business with deep roots in the community. By the 1980s and 1990s, the company recognized the shifting demands of the food industry and transitioned from traditional home delivery to wholesale and institutional distribution. This shift brought an exciting expansion in product offerings, including fresh pasta, handmade desserts, and a growing line of shelf-stable beverages—all designed to meet the needs of schools, restaurants, and foodservice partners. In 1995, Wade’s moved into a new facility on Barnum Avenue in Bridgeport. The transition marked a significant milestone in our growth, tripling our distribution capacity and providing the infrastructure to better serve a rapidly expanding customer base. In 2016, Wade’s Dairy completed a 7,000-square-foot expansion—the largest in company history. This investment allowed us to handle more products, operate more efficiently, and deliver the exceptional service our clients rely on each and every day.
